Battle at The Branch proved to be some elite competition. Traveling this week were, Chandler, Drake and Zachary. Drake finished 2nd while Zachary and Chandler both brought home 5th Place finishes.

 SWAT traveled to Lithia Springs, Ga on 09/19/09 to participate in the Pre-Season tournament. Chandler Cable wrestled in the 98 lbs class of Cadet Division and placed third. Chandler's first match was with Joey Mondragon. (L 7-1). Chandler's next bout was with Toby Crittenden of West Forsyth Wrestling. (L 8-3)  Drake competed in the 80lbs class of the Middle School Division and placed fourth. Drake's first bout was with Raydan Crittendon of West Forsyth Wrestling. (L 8-4) Second match was with Gregory Hillard with The Wrestling Academy. (L Fall 1:00). His final match was with Tommy Pulliam of Team Walton. (L Fall 0:16).
 SWAT at WARHORSE STAMPEDE

SWAT Team Wrestling had its debut at Warhorse Stampede on 03/21/09.  Three members of SWAT traveled to Owen High School with two bringing home hardware. Chandler Cable competed in the 91 lbs class of the Cadet division. Chandler wrestled hard but was not his usual self. He made a rally at the end coming up short with 5-4 score in freestyle. This was his first time ever competing in the Greco-Roman style of wrestling and it showed.  Chandler finished 2nd in Greco and 3rd place in Freestyle.

Zachary Palmer was up next in the 120lbs class of the Schoolboy division. Zachary wrestled well and gained a lot of experience, however he was unable to secure a win. Zachary has been working hard in the weight room and this is paying off.  He was able to control his opponents much easier.  He was just beat on experience.

Drake Cable was able to secure his 6th tournament championship. Drake won his first match by forfeit. About a minute into the match the opponent, who was clearly outmatched, gave up and forfeited the match. He continued to dominate winning all his remaining matches by pin or major decision.
